HOUSE Workshop: Know Your Rights - North Campus

Your lease should protect your rights as a tenant; not leave you confused about what your landlord can get away with. That’s why IGNITE and HOUSE have come together for an interactive workshop that covers tenant rights under Ontario’s Residential Tenancies Act. If you’re just starting your house-hunt or are an international student preparing to rent off campus in Ontario, this is perfect for you!

By attending, you’ll be able to recognize common rental red flags, like what illegal lease clauses and unlawful deposits are. You’ll leave with a better understanding of what to do when dealing with demands for advance rent, ignored repair requests and sudden eviction notices.
