Manny Dingo
Manny Dingo is a full time Drag King, an amateur dj, self taught dancer, and seducer. He was born and raised in Hali-wood, but now takes up space in Tkaronto. He feels it is important for him to share his art. In 2015, he first performed on the Menz and Mollyz stage and won the title of Mr. Fall Fest 2015. In 2018, Manny Dingo was sponsored to go visit Toronto pride.
After he came back from all the excitement he competed in the Atlantic Drag star competition, which he took second place. Which made him realize that he needed to reach further in drag. That inspiration led him to eventually move to Toronto Feburary 2019 to take up more space in a big pond. Manny Dingo competed in the “Absolute Empires ball” competition. His team (Church Of Tease) took second place. Manny Dingo’s style has influences from Prince, The Fresh Prince, and recently Lil Nas X. He is inspired by the fashion forward, gender non conforming, and queer black men; taking up space for folks to bare witness to the fluidity of gender, and power that black men have.
He is a producer of the house of kings and a full time producer on the Twitch channel The House Royale, Which this past summer featured a competition for Drag Kings and things. His main objective is to interrupt and take up space, so that way everyone has a seat at the table.
